Earlier this year the IKECA board of directors began a search. The idea behind this search was to bring the industry together for the purpose of achieving one common goal. That goal was to raise industry standards. Today the first level of that effort was reached.
IKECA is a leader in educating its members in accordance to industry accepted safety standards, cleaning techniques, protecting the environment, and raising the standards of the Kitchen Grease Exhaust Cleaning Industry.
The primary purpose of IKECA is to protect Public Health and Safety (through fire prevention in commercial kitchens) and protect the Environment (with proper disposal of waste from Kitchen exhaust cleaning.)
In order to establish the benchmark for quality through which the industry will grow information must be readily accessible to all. With the thought in mind of continuing to set industry standards IKECA will succeed through making its library available to all industry professionals including restaurant owners, fire marshalls, the insurance industry and contractors as well.
This morning, after months of exhausting effort on the part of IKECA and Delco Cleaning Systems, the Team IKECA Kitchen Grease Exhaust Cleaning Business Library opened its’ web doors for the first time. http://www.ikeca.com There is still a lot of editing to be done and much information to be added but the team leaders felt it important to begin a new year with a new learning venue that would be open to all. Free of charge! There will be detractors, but you may rest assured that their self serving motives will not be adequate to stop this combined effort.
Kitchen Grease Exhaust Cleaning by nature is a job of fire prevention. Each year hotel and restaurant fires cost contractors and insurance companies millions of dollars. As industry professionals we are obligated to provide our customers with the highest level of protection from this worry. While owing this to our customers we also owe them the right to a clean and safe environment. We at Team IKECA will continue our selfless struggle to bring this to fruition.
This is the website that will be used to host the new International Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning Association (IKECA) Team Kitchen Grease Exhaust Cleaning Business Library. This Library is free to all interested parties and industry representatives when downloaded from this internet site.
